Sonia Iilani Rudy Alexander holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Malaysia. Sonia has completed her pupillage at Messrs Ho Chong Yong and was subsequently admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor in the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak in the State of Sabah in 2022.
Since her admission to the Bar, Sonia has been practicing with Messrs Ho Chong Yong, where she handles a broad range of civil litigation, conveyancing, family law and trust matters including defamation, breach of contract, bankruptcy proceedings, winding up proceedings, sale and purchase agreement, replacement of title, deed of gift, tenancy agreement, divorce, will writing, probate and trust matters.
